Dr. Patricia Windrim has been showing Letters to a Street Childto School of Medicine since she attended the premiere at the ROM in Toronto. On my way back from Guelph, I was able to stop by her classroom and lead a discussion to our future doctors on youth at risk and the importance of early detection.

During the filming of Family on the Edge, I spent two Christmas mornings at the Peterborough YES Shelter for youth and families. I felt privileged to observe the unwrapping of the donated gifts to teenagers from foster care on Christmas morning... The labels simply read 'for a girl' or 'for a boy'...
